Jiaqi Sun

For this set of photos, I was inspired by a Taiwanese folk song—Wondering A raspy voice with a simple guitar accompaniment. A female singer uses the lyrics to tell the story of her wandering from her home under the mountains to Taipei. Most people here are foreigners, seeking a sense of identity, but also accompanied by contradictions and pulls, encountering hypocritical people, sad things, and wanting to escape. Sometimes I want to escape into no man’s land. I want to stand in the wilderness and feel the wind and the sun, my mind becomes hazy and I can’t think about anything in its entirety. I can only passively accept the beautiful music and the cool breeze. That’s the feeling I’m trying to express
